IOGEAR Eases Printing Pains for SOHO and SMB Offices
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 8 -- IOGEAR today launched its palm-sized USB Multi-Function Print Server, which allows all networked PCs in SOHO (small office, home office) and SMB (small, medium sized businesses) environments to access one multi-function USB printer to print, fax or scan documents.
Unlike most products currently available on the market, this device supports two-way communication with a printer, providing real-time updates on ink or toner levels and progress reports on sending and receiving faxes. By connecting the print server to a wireless router, it immediately becomes a Wide Local Area Network (WLAN) unit, enabling wireless communication with all computers on the network.
Additionally, Web-based management software makes printer management fast and easy, enabling users to configure and reset the print server and monitor networked multi-function printers through a Web browser.
"In the past, many small and home offices have not had the ability to set up networked printers, and this can be costly due to the fact that users had to purchase multiple printers for employees," said Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing at IOGEAR, Inc.
