February 21, 2006 - Suited for working with insertable boring bars in bores as small as .160 in., THINBIT® MINI-BORE® inserts are available in 2 grades of sub-micron grain carbide with TiN, TiCN, TiAlN, and Diamond coatings. MINI-BORE carbide triqon bars are designed for rigidity. They come in 3/16, ¼, and 3/8 in. dia for WCGT style .156, .187, and .250 in. IC inserts.

Thinbit® Mini-Bore® Boring Bars and Inserts


THINBIT®, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Company, expands its line and now offers a solution for working with insertable boring bars in very small bores.

.160" Minimum Bore

The THINBIT® MINI-BORE® line now includes a carbide bar with a minimum bore of .160". Inserts are available in two (2) grades of sub-micron grain carbide with TiN, TiCN, TiAlN and Diamond coatings.

Carbide Trigon Bar

Additionally, the MINI-BORE® line has now expanded to include carbide trigon bars. These bars have superior rigidity and yield better surface finishes, deeper cutting depths and longer extension ratios. Available in 3/16", 1/4" and 3/8" diameters for WCGT style .156", .187" and .250" IC inserts.
