New Handle On Metabo Angle Grinders Reduces Vibration 60%
West Chester, PA, January 2006 -- Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has upgraded its entire line of angle grinders with new anti-vibration handles. The new Vibratech handle reduces vibration on the side handle by up to 60% compared to standard handles.
The ergonomic design of the Vibratech handle eliminates the direct contact between the spindle and the grip, reducing vibration. Vibration is further diminished by absorbent elastomer between the spindle and the grip. This significantly reduces an operator's risk of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (formerly White Finger Syndrome), a debilitating condition caused by vibration exposure that affects circulation, sensory, and motor nerves.
The new anti-vibration handles are now available on all Metabo angle grinders. All past and current models can also be retrofitted with the handles, purchased separately.
All Metabo angle grinders are ergonomically designed with a side handle that is offset by 15%. This increases control, reduces fatigue, and extends the length of time operators can use the grinders.
