Water Treatment System processes up to 200 gpm.

February 7, 2006 - Fully automated Models EP5-WR and EP10-WR ElectroPulse systems treat wash-water generated from washing vehicles, equipment, and stormwater run-off in asphalt industry. Electrolytic-based electrocoagulation technology removes emulsified oil, TPH, suspended solids, and heavy metals without use of filters or chemicals. Treated water can be recycled or discharged to sanitary sewer. System is also suited for equipment washing, aircraft refurbishing, and metal parts deburring.

OilTrap ElectroPulse Water Treatment System for Asphalt and Paving Industry

OilTrap Environmental, the leading manufacturer of electrocoagulation (EC) water treatment systems, has introduced the ElectroPulse system designed for treatment of wash-water generated from washing vehicles, equipment and stormwater run-off in the asphalt industry. The EP5-WR and EP10-WR are economically priced and easy to operate.

ElectroPulse can process up to 200 gallons per minute (GPM) for treatment of stormwater run-off and treated water is of a quality that can be recycled, discharged to a sanitary sewer or surface-water. Average treatment cost is only $0.003 per gallon or $3.00 per 1,000 gallons.

The ElectroPulse system uses electrocoagulation, an electrolytic-based technology for treatment of contaminated water economically and on-site. The EC treatment process has proven successful in removing a variety of contaminants that are impossible or too expensive to be removed by filtration or chemical treatment systems. Among these contaminants are emulsified oil, TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon), suspended solids and heavy metals without the use of labor intensive filters or messy chemicals. Generally
heavy metals are reduced to a hydroxide, allowing sludge that is separated through the ElectroPulse treatment process, to pass a TCLP (Toxic Characteristic Leaching Procedure) test.

The ElectroPulse wash-water system has a small footprint and is modular for accommodating limited floor space. Systems are being used in many applications, including heavy equipment washing, marinas, military wash operations, forest products processing, aircraft refurbishing, auto auctions, equipment washing, and metal parts deburring.

Packaged with on-board automation, the ElectroPulse system is fully automated, which dramatically reduces the cost and time of maintenance often associated with on-site water treatment systems. Also, there are no filters to clean or replace.

OilTrap Environmental, which has been manufacturing electrocoagulation water treatment systems since 1993, provides not only highly effective technology but a total solution approach through system design to meet your specific needs and requirements.
