Single- and Dual-Core Processors offer VoIP support.


February 6, 2006 - Used to add VoIP ports to Secure Routers and Gateways, Triple Play devices, and Wireless Gateways, OCTEON CN31XX and CN30XX processors consist of 1-16 MIPS64-based cores with 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps application performance. Included vPort software provides complete VoIP Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) solution with variety of voice features. Other features include integrated Ethernet and/or SPI4.2 networking interfaces and up to 144 bit DRAM DDR-2 memory controller.

D2 Technologies to Offer VoIP Support for Cavium Networks New Single and Dual Core OCTEON (TM) MIPS64 ®Based Processor Family


SANTA BARBARA, Calif. and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 30 -- D2 Technologies, a leader in "softDSP based" VoIP software solutions and Cavium Networks, a world leader in security, network services, and embedded processor solutions today announced D2 Technologies vPort software for VoIP Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) will be available on Cavium Networks new OCTEON CN31XX, CN30XX MIPS64 based processors. The combined solution will be used by Networking OEM Vendors that need to add VoIP ports to Secure Routers and Gateways, Triple Play devices and Wireless Gateways.

D2 Technologies vPort software provides a complete VoIP CPE solution with rich voice features including the SIP signaling protocol, RTP packetization, Adaptive Jitter Buffer, G.729AB, G.711, G.726 and iLBC Voice Compression, DTMF/CP Tone Generation/Detection, DTMF Relay, VAD/Silence Compression, Packet Loss Compensation, G.168 Echo Canceller, and T.38 FAX Relay.
