New from Meissner - DPS(TM) (Disposable Processing System)
Meissner announces the availability of its DPS(TM) (Disposable Processing System) for
biopharmaceutical fluid handling. Meissner's DPS(TM) assemblies are single-use filter-biocontainersystems for use in biomanufacturing operations.
The Meissner DPS(TM) assembly is composed of a flexible, medical grade plastic bio-container, tubing, connectors, and a Meissner filter device. DPS(TM) assemblies are gamma-irradiated for immediate use, and their single-use disposability reduces the need for SIP/CIP requirements and validation.
Meissner DPS(TM) is customizable to the end user's specific processing requirements. The
assemblies can be used for sterile filling, dispensing, mixing, storage and transport of biopharmaceutical solutions.
Utilizing Meissner disposable processing systems can offer significant advantages over using traditional hard-piped stainless steel systems for biomanufacturing. DPS(TM) assemblies allow greater flexibility in scale-up or scale-down of a process, allow more efficient use of manufacturing and storage space, and significantly reduce preparation time prior to system operation.
DPS(TM) assemblies incorporate the end user's choice of Meissner's sterilizing-grade EverLUX(TM) or STyLUX® polyethersulfone (PES) membrane filter, or SteriLUX® polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane filter, in a choice of a capsule configuration or an UltraCap® disposable assembly. DPS(TM) can be customized to the end user's requirements for processing 5L to 2,000L of biopharmaceutical process liquids and products.
