Pleated Panel Filters won't delaminate, buckle, or collapse.
January 19, 2006 -
Able to snap back to original shape if damaged or deformed with no loss of structural integrity, X-Treme(TM) filters employ self-supported media that offers moisture resistance and eliminates need for expanded metal backing. Inherent media strength and stiffness result in consistent pleat shape, spacing, and height. Fully incinerable products, rated MERV 7, do not support microbial growth or contain any metal components.

New Self-Supported Pleated Panel Filter Offers High Durability, Damage Resistance, Low Pressure Drop
Louisville, KY. Airguard introduces X-Treme(TM) pleated panel filters with a new self-supported media that offers high strength, moisture resistance and eliminates the need for an expanded metal backing. The inherent strength and stiffness of the unique X-Treme media result in totally consistent pleat shape, pleat spacing and pleat height.
X-Treme filters are extremely resilient and snap back to their original shape if damaged or deformed with no loss of structural integrity. The frame and media pack are bonded with a water repellent adhesive to maintain structural integrity even when wet. The filters will not delaminate, buckle or collapse. Pleat stabilizer straps on the air entering side add rigidity and maintain proper pleat spacing to maximize dirt loading. Pleat bunching cannot occur, so service life is enhanced.
The filter media contains a unique blend of synthetic fibers formed with high strength, high stiffness and low resistance characteristics. They are constructed for full depth loading to ensure uniform dirt collection over the entire surface of the media.
Rated MERV 7*, X-Treme filters operate on mechanical filtration principles which causes efficiency to increase as the filters load. The filters are moisture-resistant and do not support microbial growth.
In addition, these self-supported filters do not contain any metal components; they are rust proof and have no sharp edges, making disposal easier. Also,
X-Treme filters are fully incinerable.
