Kee Industrial Products Introduces New Kwik Kit® Safety Railing Kits with Pre-Assembled Uprights for Faster, Easier Installation
(January 2006) - Kee Industrial Products, Inc., Buffalo, New York announces the introduction of its new Kwik Kit® safety railing kit featuring pre-assembled uprights to reduce installation time. Kwik Kit is a safety barrier system used around machinery and equipment or in other areas where personnel access should be restricted because of safety concerns. The new Kwik Kit with pre-assembled uprights complies with OSHA and BOCA standards, and includes 1.9" O.D. pipe that is powder-coated in an attractive, safety yellow finish.
Kee Industrial states that Kwik Kit can be assembled quickly by placing the supplied horizontal rails through the pipe fittings on the pre-assembled uprights and using only a hex key to tighten the set screws. No welding, threading or drilling is required, and Kwik Kit may be secured using bolts or chemical anchors attached to the base fittings. The pipe fittings can be specified as either Kee Klamp® malleable cast-iron, or Kee Lite® aluminum, structural slip-on pipe fittings. Both Kee Klamp and Kee Lite fittings are corrosion-resistant.
The rails included with Kwik Kit may be cut-to-size where shorter sections are desired. The entire kit is pre-packaged with six-foot post spacing and available in a straight section kit, corner section kit, and an extension kit. The company states that the six-foot post spacing yields a lower system cost-per-foot for safety railing.
