Watson-Marlow Introduces Its Pumpsil-D Tubing For Biopharmaceutical Processing Applications

Offers Higher Accuracy and Repeatability

Watson-Marlow Bredel, the leading manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, is pleased to announce the launch of its new Pumpsil-D platinum silicone dispensing tube. Pumpsil-D tubing is a specially formulated tube designed specifically for high accuracy dispensing applications in the biopharmaceutical industry. Due to its superior flex memory, which doubles the accuracy of dispensed volumes compared to standard platinum-cured silicon tubing, Pumpsil-D possesses greater resistance to fatigue stress and deterioration. This means that fewer calibrations are needed, which cuts downtime and maximizes process efficiency.

Designed with an ultra-smooth bore to control protein binding and bacterial growth, PumpSil-D is post-cured to minimize leachables or extractables and provide optimal pump performance. With a high level of purity and clarity, PumpSil-D is ideal for use in sanitary environments for pharmaceutical and biotechnology processing applications. Pumpsil-D meets full biopharmaceutical testing standards, including USP Class VI, ISO 10993 and USDA requirements.

With its unique LaserTraceability(TM) feature, every piece of Pumpsil-D tubing is permanently laser-marked, end-to-end, with part and lot numbers and use-by date, ensuring absolute traceability. A 100% indelible fine etch is produced on the surface of the tube,- preventing contamination from inks and other materials.
