SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 20 /-- Fujitsu Computer Systems today announced the LifeBook(R) C1320D thin and light notebook with a generous widescreen display, extended battery life, and exceptional Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor performance offered at an affordable price. Starting at $1,149, the LifeBook C1320D notebook appeals to value-minded small and medium businesses, as well as students and teachers who want a slim, full-featured, high-performance notebook on a modest budget.
Equipped with a large 15.4" widescreen XGA display that provides 30% more viewing area than a conventional 15-inch display, the LifeBook C1320D notebook delivers an outstanding visual experience. A versatile built-in modular bay offers the choice of installing a variety of optical drives or a second battery. The combination of the second battery and the high-capacity main battery provides up to 9.5 hours1 of computing time to keep pace with today's highly mobile user.
Packed with an array of features, the easy-to-carry LifeBook C1320D notebook weighs less than 6.4 pounds, lighter than many 15.4-inch notebooks. The LifeBook C1320D notebook delivers the performance and reliability mobile professionals expect from Fujitsu, recently rated tops for reliability among Windows-based notebooks in PC Magazine's 18th annual Reader Satisfaction Survey.

Exceptional performance is achieved with the powerful Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor with a fast 533 MHz front-side bus, Intel 915GM chipset and fast Serial-ATA hard drives. With both modem and Gigabit Ethernet built in, it's easy to connect to the office network or the Internet at home, school or work. Optional Wi-Fi-certified Atheros Super AG(R) wireless LAN (802.11 a/b/g) delivers seamless connectivity with the highest network efficiency levels available in wireless LANs. The LifeBook C1320D notebook can also be equipped with integrated Bluetooth wireless technology for connecting to a Bluetooth- enabled cell phone or PDA. Easily transfer digital images and MP3 files with a dedicated Secure Digital card slot, or use the Dual-Layer Multi-Format DVD Writer to backup business data or digital content. In addition, an available port replicator provides desktop convenience and simplified cable management.
Pricing and Availability
The LifeBook C1320D notebook is available through the Fujitsu direct sales force, Web site and channel partners2 with pricing starting at $1,1493 for a base configuration. Users can choose from a recommended configuration or they can customize their system using the Fujitsu Configure To Order (CTO) program.
Service and Support
The Fujitsu LifeBook C1320D notebook is backed by a three-year or one-year International Limited Warranty for U.S. and Canadian customers. The International Limited Warranty includes technical support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.4 In addition, users can add Fujitsu Premium Care Service Plans, which include an on-site service or a screen protection plan.
