New Filter Technology Protects Painted Parts from Defects, Contamination

Ottawa, KS October 25, 2005. ATI has introduced Diffusion MAX, a supply air filter that equalizes airflow paint booths, decreasing air turbulence within the booth. As a result, painted product is protected from defects caused by air turbulence or particulate contamination.

Diffusion MAX is the latest addition to a line of air make-up products for paint spray booths. It is a high-purity filter technology that uses a progressively structured, resin-bonded synthetic fleece media. Each individual fiber- not just those at the surface - is coated with a special non-migratory tackifier for maximum retention of contaminants.

The media is progressively denser from the air-entering to air-leaving side, in order to provide best-possible depth-loading and full media utilization. A protective scrim backing enhances efficiency and strength. Both internal and external galvanized steel support wires are hand-wiped to eliminate microscopic dirt and prevent parts contamination.

Diffusion MAX is supplied in plastic bags, which have been crater-tested to guard against silicon contamination and provide an added level of protection.

Diffusion MAX is a high-performance, self-extinguishing filter technology. It is manufactured in blankets, panel filters and cut-to-size pads.
