SMT Header Assemblies are designed for reliability.

December 30, 2005 - Supplied as off-the-shelf solution, Synergetix Surface Mount Header Assemblies can be mounted in high-density applications and utilize IDI spring probe technology for contact resiliency. Available in arrays of up to 6 contacts per header, products come in 3, 6, and 9 mm contact lengths. Stackable to form 2 x 6 or 1 x 12 arrays on 2.54 mm pitch, assemblies feature eccentric drill technology, less than 10 milliohm resistance, and 12 A current rating.

New Surface Mount Header Assemblies Raise Reliability Standards for Off-the-Shelf Connectors

Kansas City, KS- Synergetix®, a leader in the development of ultra reliable custom interconnect solutions, announces the introduction of the company's first off-the-shelf solution, the Synergetix Surface Mount Header Assembly.

These proprietary designs developed by Synergetix engineers utilize the spring probe technology of its sister company, IDI, the world's leader in spring contact probe innovation.

Before Synergetix introduced this solution, product designers were faced with few options, including straight-pin headers and turned-pin headers. The spring probes used in these Synergetix Surface Mount Header Assemblies provide significantly more contact resiliency for higher cycle life than these conventional technologies. Another advantage is that they can be easily mounted in high-density applications.

Synergetix Surface Mount Header Assemblies are being used in applications where connection is vital, like battery contacts for medical and safety devices and connectors for portable emergency communications and military devices.

Synergetix Surface Mount Header Assemblies are available in arrays of up to six contacts per header. Other benefits include:

o Patented Eccentric drill technology allowing the use of a much smaller probe with higher reliability and performance
o Three different contact lengths: 3, 6, and 9 mm
o Stackable to form 2 x 6 or 1 x 12 arrays on 2.54 mm pitch
o Lowest resistance available in the market - < 10 milliohm
o Current Rating of 12 amps

Synergetix, established in 1994, is a leader in the design and manufacture of custom interconnects including high performance test sockets for the semiconductor industry and product connectors for the medical, military, aerospace and telecommunications industries.
