Blasch Launches Cleen-Flo(TM) Line of Ceramic Foam Filters for Filtering Liquid Metal
-- Competitively priced, frequently 20-25% less than similar products --
ALBANY, NY (DEC. 8) - A new line of high-performance, competitively priced ceramic foam filters -- designed for filtering impurities from liquid metals -- has been introduced by Blasch Precision Ceramics.
Blasch's new Cleen-Flo filters are available in three materials: alumina, for use with aluminum and aluminum alloys; zirconia, for use with stainless steels and nickel alloys, and silicon carbide, for use with grey iron, ductile iron, precious metals, copper, bronze, brass and investment casting. All of the materials are available in square, round and custom geometric shapes; sizes ranging from 10mm up to 600mm, and thicknesses from 10-50mm. Pore densities from 8-60 pores per inch are available. Filters can be ordered with or without a ceramic felt gasket or ceramic glaze around the perimeter.
The new Blasch filters, which frequently cost 20-25% less than similar products, offer a number of advantages, including:
o High thermal and chemical stability which avoids any reaction with the molten metal being filtered,
o High mechanical strength,
o Large specific surface area for greater efficiency,
o Low pressure loss, and
o Smooth metal flow to prevent spray, splatter, and backset.
Founded in 1979, Blasch Precision Ceramics serves a variety of manufacturing and processing industries throughout the world, providing innovative, customized solutions for chemically difficult or high temperature applications.
