Pocket-Pick provides touch screen interface for user control of functions such as shorting, location validation, and SKU lookup. Using voice-recognition software trained to sound of user's voice, system responds to voice direction for next step in process. The Pocket-Pick system has the distinct advantage over competing systems, offering a display and touch screen interface to put the user in control of functions such as shorting, location validation, SKU lookup and other order details including item descriptions, last pick and inventory.
As the user walks along the shelving, the system directs the picker which location and quantity to pick. Using voice-recognition software trained to the sound of the user's voice, the system responds to the voice direction for the next step in the process. The Pocket-Pick system can also be used for put and place.
This durable and user friendly voice platform is supported by a standard pocket PC or industrial pocket PC along with software and applications developed by IPTI. The system is capable of storing a number of voice pattern files.
