December 12, 2005 - ROPAK(TM) Industry Standard series of containers, built on 45 x 48 in. footprint, come in heights of 25 and 34 in. with respective storage volumes of 19.7 and 29.2 ft³. Offering capacities up to 1,500 lb, collapsible containers are RFID-ready and offer choice of 0, 1, or 2 hinged drop doors on 48 in. side. In addition to 4-way forklift access, storage and transportation containers can be stacked up to 6-high and feature closed deck base.

ROPAK(TM) Industry Standard Containers Offered in Two, Most-Popular Sizes

GEORGETOWN, KY (November 18, 2005) - LINPAC Materials Handling, manufacturer of high-quality ROPAK(TM) reusable container systems, now offers the ROPAK Industry Standard family of containers. Built on a 45" x 48" footprint, these containers are available in two heights: 25" and 34".

Engineered to be lighter in tare weight than standard ROPAK 45" x 48" footprint containers, the Industry Standard containers offer capacities up to 1500 lbs. (680.4 kg). This makes them ideal for storage and transportation of a variety of lighter-volume contents, including: aluminum components, blow molded bottles, PET preforms, plastic molded components, paper and printed materials, snack food applications, textiles, and vacuum formed food trays. The 25" height container offers 19.7 cubic feet (0.55 cubic meters) of storage volume, and the 34" height container offers 29.2 cubic feet (0.82 cubic meters) of storage volume.

The ROPAK Industry Standard containers offer a choice of 0, 1 or 2 hinged drop doors on the 48" side, and feature 4-way forklift access. The 48" sides offer four label openings-two on the drop door(s) and two below-while the 45" sides feature four label openings. These areas allow for bar codes or other descriptions of contents. The containers feature a closed deck base. An optional cover is available to further protect contents.

When filled with a static load, the Industry Standard containers may be stacked up to 6-high. When empty, the containers' sidewalls collapse for compact storage and return shipment. The 25" height container collapses to a height of 13.1" and offers a return ratio of 1.9:1. The 34" height container also collapses to a height of 13.1" and offers a return ratio of 2.6:1.

The ROPAK Industry Standard containers are RFID-ready and, as with all LINPAC Materials Handling products, their workmanship and materials are guaranteed by a three-year warranty. Industry Standard containers may also be recycled at the end of their useful lives. LINPAC Materials Handling also offers a variety of logistics solutions to help customers better manage their handling and transportation needs.
