New Paperless Recorder Announced

The New Eco-Graph T Proves to be an Effective Cost-Saver

December 6, 2005, Greenwood, Indiana - Endress+Hauser, Inc. announces the new Eco-Graph T, paperless recorder with a multi-channel process display. This new recorder offers leading edge technology at an affordable price. The Eco-Graph T is identified by its innovative features, simplicity in use, and space-saving design that enables it to deliver an unparalleled price to performance ratio when compared to existing paper recorders, data loggers, and process indicators/displays.

The cost savings continue with zero maintenance and running costs due to the elimination of all mechanical and consumable (paper/pen) parts. Set-up time and costs are greatly reduced with the simple, trouble-free commissioning and the automatic identification of signal type on connection, which is patented by Endress + Hauser Inc. The front-end display with large color digits eliminates the need for an expensive hand-held display. In addition, the Eco-Graph T has a reduced panel depth of 20% reducing wasted space.

The new recorder is completely digital and features an internal memory of 1,036,800 values (which equates to 4 days at 6 channels recorded every second or 240 days at 6 channels recorded every minute) and a compact flash external memory. Long data storage is possible with the 512 MB card, and data can be transferred without software through the use of the Comma Separated Value (CSV) format, which allows for direct opening in ASCII or a spreadsheet. The free ReadWinŽ 2000 software offers the option of protected data transfers (manipulation-free) if increased security is desired.

Eco-Graph T features increased and faster communication through numerous ports including a USB port for service and data transfer to a PC (standard), Ethernet for integration into plant-wide systems, RS485/RS232 for integration into existing networks, and a totally unique embedded web server for remote connectivity using an Internet browser (standard). This inbuilt web server allows the user to monitor from anywhere in the world on demand! The paperless recorder also offers a 100 millisecond scan rate to easily track fast signal changes, which is 10 times faster than that of scanning paper systems or other recorders.

Potential applications for the new Eco-Graph T include but are not limited to the following: waste process monitoring (for example bioreactors); RO water systems for industrial or pharmaceutical use; tank level monitoring; breweries for monitoring filtration processes, fermentation processes, and in filling/washing machines; and dairy, juice, and whey cheese manufacturing.

For more information on the Eco-Graph T Paperless Recorder, visit the Endress + Hauser Inc. website, www.us.endress.com, or call us toll-free 888-ENDRESS.
