Split square hole sleeve Series A 7C19 is suited for producing tooling such as milling cutters or boring bars without broaching equipment, while split square hole bushing Series A 7C18 fits any mating size collet or 3-jawed chuck. Sleeves are cold-rolled steel C1117 and range in length from ¾-5 in. Bushings are 4140 steel and hardened to Re 40-45. Broached square holes, which range from .128-1.260 in., accommodate 12 tool bit sizes from 1/8-1¼ in.

New Low Cost Split Square Hole Sleeves and Split Bushings from SDP Have Varied Unique Applications
New Hyde Park, New York-A new line of low cost square hole sleeves and split bushings introduced by Stock Drive Products can be used as sliding couplings, extensions for socket drives, bearing carriers and as sliding bearings. They serve as an economical replacement in applications requiring spliced shafts and bushings, where precision tolerances are not required.
In the machine shop, the square hole A 7CI9- Series are invaluable for producing tooling such as milling cutters or boring bars without the need for costly broaching equipment. The split square hole bushing A 7C18- Series will fit any mating size collet or 3-jawed chuck. They provide good concentricity without time-consuming adjustments.
The sleeves are made of Cold-Rolled Steel C1117 and are stocked in 10 different lengths from 3/4" to 5". Square hole bushings made of 4140 steel and are hardened to Re 40-45. The dimensions of the broached square holes, which range between .128" and 1.260", are designed to accommodate standard tool bit sizes of 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1" and 1-1/4". The sleeves are also offered with a tapped hole at one end for a backup screw. A concentricity of .003 T. I. R. is maintained between the outer diameter of the sleeve and the square hole. A complete line of square stock is also available to accommodate these sleeves and bushings.
