Wayne, NJ - November 11, 2005 - BP Lubricants USA Inc. introduces Castrol® Hypuron(TM) S, a high-performance partial synthetic diesel engine oil designed for heavy-duty engines. Blended with a precisely engineered partial synthetic base stock, Castrol Hypuron S provides superior performance and protection for engines while enhancing component and equipment life, lowering maintenance costs and increasing profitability.
The superior performance of Castrol Hypuron S allows fleets to extend service intervals* while maximizing equipment life, therefore reducing total cost per mile. In addition to providing exceptional dispersancy to manage the higher soot levels generated by EGR engines, Castrol Hypuron S offers robust detergency to neutralize higher acid levels. Surpassing the ideal performance requirements of multiple engine manufacturers, the progressive formulation of Castrol Hypuron S meets the newest specifications from both Mack and Caterpillar. Formulated with low ash technology, Castrol Hypuron S minimizes oil consumption, reduces piston deposit formation and increases oil film strength.
