Universal Transient Barrier Protects Sensitive Electronic Equipment with a Three-Stage Clamping Circuit

Industrial environments are prone to dangerous and damaging transients and surges which can lead to expensive equipment repairs, considerable downtime, loss of revenue and danger to personnel. The Universal Transient Barrier (UTB) - part of the CRITEC® line from ERICO® -- protects equipment with a powerful three-stage clamping circuit which ensures the best possible protection while maintaining a minimum of line interference and insertion losses.

The UTB covers line currents up to 1.5A and frequencies up to 3MHz. The product is CE approved and has a high surge rating to ensure adequate protection with a long service life.

The UTB range of products is intended to be used with ERICO's Transient Discriminating Filters (TDFs) to provide a coordinated approach to protection of both the power and data-control circuits.
