Inverter Welder includes envelope limits feature.

November 23, 2005 - Envelope Limits feature of high-frequency Model HF27 enables monitoring of programmed weld schedule by placing upper and lower limits around optimized weld signature. Any deviation results in alarm and specified action that may stop weld and/or initiate valve output. Feature can accurately detect slight changes in process that could lead to inconsistent welds, which is important in medical, electronics, and automotive industries.

New Envelope Limits Feature Provides Monitoring of the Entire Resistance Weld Schedule

MONROVIA, CA - October 3, 2005- Miyachi Uniteks Envelope Limits feature enables monitoring of the entire programmed weld schedule by placing upper and lower limits around an optimized weld signature (current, voltage or power waveforms). Any deviation across the set envelope will result in an alarm, and a specified action that may stop the weld and/or initiate a valve output.

Unlike traditional monitoring functions that do not enable upslope monitoring and only provide "snap shot" monitoring with high/low limits, the whole process Envelope Limits feature can accurately detect even very slight changes in the process that could lead to inconsistent welds. This is of particular importance for sensitive welding applications such as those found in the medical, electronics and automotive industries. It also provides a much more robust process quality assurance tool that ensures that the more marginal weld defects are identified.

The Envelope Limits feature is available only on Miyachi Unitek's new model HF27 high frequency inverter welder.

Miyachi Unitek designs and manufacturers a full range of resistance welding and reflow soldering power supplies, heads, monitors and accessories for both large scale and fine spot applications requiring precision metals joining, hermetic sealing systems, and lasers and laser systems for welding and marking. The company offers applications and process development support at no charge. Company Headquarters is located at 1820 S. Myrtle Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016.
