Faucet features touch-free technology.
November 21, 2005 -
Equipped with capacitive sensing technology, Aerada(TM) 1200 Series CS instinctively detects user's presence from any angle of approach, providing hands-free operation. Omni-directional detection zone surrounds entire spout, rather than sensor window, ensuring consistent activation. Faucet also includes water-conserving, 0.5 gpm vandal-resistant flow outlet. All mechanical and electrical components are concealed in water-resistant housing.

Bradley Launches Better Touch-Free Faucet Technology
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., (Oct. 31, 2005) - Bradley Corp. introduces its Aerada(TM) 1200 Series CS faucet with capacitive sensing technology for optimal hands-free operation. This new faucet is easier to use and activate - the faucet instinctively detects a user's presence from any angle of approach.
The Aerada 1200 Series CS faucet uses capacitive sensing technology to create an omni-directional detection zone that surrounds the entire spout, rather than a sensor window commonly used with infrared-controlled faucets. The omni-directional detection zone ensures activation the first time and every time. All of the faucet's mechanical and electrical components are concealed in a water-resistant housing.
"Capacitive sensing is a break-though innovation for touch-free restroom fixtures," said Todd Platta, product manager for Bradley Corp. "This faucet will impress even the most skeptical specifiers and engineers who have experienced problems in the past with reflective surfaces, soap scum build-up or different user skin tones interfering with infrared faucet performance. Aerada 1200 Series CS faucet with capacitive sensing technology is extremely reliable."
New capacitive sensing technology provides consistent operation in nearly any restroom environment. Improved touch-free activation and no sensors, handles or knobs to vandalize means less user frustration, as well as reduced repair and maintenance costs.
An added benefit is that the touch-free activation reduces the spread of germs and encourages more thorough handwashing. It also conserves water and saves energy because the faucet automatically shuts off after a user's hands leave the sensor area. All Aerada faucets feature a water-conserving 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM) vandal-resistant flow outlet.
