Roller Level Attachments require no hydraulic motors.

November 16, 2005 - Offering fine detail control, Worksite Pro(TM) RL66 and RL84 facilitate grading, leveling, and contouring for skid steer operators. Attachments enable operator to complete final grade on smooth and sloped surfaces. Without disturbing sub soil, box blade with roller level has no hydraulics to impede speed and can perform landscape and site preparatory work. Cutting edge shaves surface of soil, creating bed for seeding or leveling with box blade.

New Deere Roller Levels Provide Productivity at Lower Cost

MOLINE, Ill. (November 2, 2005)-The new John Deere Worksite Pro(TM) RL66 and RL84 Roller Levels make grading, leveling and contouring with detail control a breeze for skid steer operators.

"These roller levels enable the operator to complete a final grade on both smooth and sloped surfaces, making it a key attachment for landscapers, paving and concrete contractors," said Doug Laufenberg, product marketing manager, attachments, John Deere Construction & Forestry Company. "They provide operators with fine control, decreasing the time needed to complete a job while increasing the quality of the finished surface."

These new attachments-an exclusive product of John Deere-are a patented box blade with roller level that can do landscape and site preparatory work without hydraulics. As a result, the initial cost and operating costs are less than other final grade tools. And uptime is maximized, since the roller level is a simple mechanical attachment with no hydraulic motors. Two grease able bearings and two replaceable cutting edges also enhance uptime.

Productivity and versatility are key strengths of John Deere's roller levels. They provide an alternative for more costly attachments in many applications. Unlike a power rake, these roller levels do not disturb the sub soil, which is key to leaving the sub soil compacted for asphalt and concrete jobs. And, the cutting edge shaves the surface of the soil, creating a good bed for seeding or leveling with the box blade.

These tools also are more productive because the operating speed isn't limited by hydraulics, according to Laufenberg. "The grading speed is as fast as the operator and skid steer can go. They also eliminate the 'proposing' of a traditional box blade," he said. "In short, they're among the most productive grading attachments on the market."
