Marathon® Mounted Bearing Units Designed for Harsh Conditions
Marathon® mounted bearing units from MRC Bearing Services can withstand harsh conditions and offer ideal protection during washdowns. All units are corrosion-resistant, maintenance-free, and feature a patented dual-sealing system to promote extended service life and inhibit potentially damaging contamination. They are ideally suited for severe applications in a wide range of industries, including food processing, beverage, meat and poultry, chemical processing, and countless others.
Marathon bearing units are designed with high-quality, corrosion-resistant insert bearings (coated or stainless). Their multifunction rubber seals are bonded to AISI 304 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance. Sealed-for-life lubricants are USDA approved for food applications.
Available in a range of sizes, standard housing styles include pillow block, two- or four-bolt flange, or tapped base. Three-bolt bracket flange plus wide and narrow slot take up units are available.
Heavy-duty Marathon HDi cast-iron bearing units benefit from MRC's ZMaRC® coating, which eliminates flaking problems associated with nickel-plated products and optimizes corrosion-resistance during washdowns. Extreme-duty Marathon XDs bearing units are constructed with cast stainless housings and offer unprecedented protection against heavy loads, shock loads, moisture, and aggressive chemicals. Marathon composites incorporate strong but lightweight housings offering excellent resistance to washdown chemicals, while providing freedom from housing corrosion.
