Highlites Introduces Automatic Emergency Power Control Switching For Building Light Fixtures

New fail-safe device allows selected building and office light fixtures to be used as emergency lighting by connecting them to your emergency lighting inverter or generator when a power failure occurs.

New Product: Model HEPC Emergency Power Control Switching System

Design: Highlites, Inc. In-House Product Design and Engineering Team

Manufacturer: Highlites, a division of the JJI Lighting Group, Inc.

Product Applications: Highlites' HEPC Emergency Power Control Switching Unit is designed to take a standard building lighting fixture, including switched fixtures, and dedicate them as emergency lighting fixtures. It will operate a combined load of 20 amps.

Product Description: Highlites' HEPC Emergency Power Control Switching Unit is designed for use with any standard DC to AC inverter systems well as a generator being used for life safety emergency egress lighting. The HEPC unit connects the selected emergency fixtures, bypassing any switches or controls, and connects them to the emergency power source. The unit monitors 24 hour source, the switched source, and the emergency power source, automatically providing the selected fixtures with the proper power. Wall or ceiling mounted units provide easy-to-read LED indicators that will indicate at a glance "emergency" or "normal" mode of operation. A momentary test switch is provided to check the operation and an internal audible alarm is provided to indicate if emergency power is interrupted.
