Collapsible Containers offer internal dunnage storage.

November 3, 2005 - With respective footprints of 40 x 48 in. and 45 x 48 in., RFID-ready ROPAK(TM) 40423 and 4A338 offer 3 and 8 in. of internal storage space for dunnage or trays when collapsed and measure 42.3 and 33 in. tall when open. Both feature non-sequential folding sidewalls and can be configured with 0, 1, or 2 drop doors. Closed or open deck base (ROPAK 40423) or open deck base only (ROPAK 4A338) configurations have max capacities of 1,750 and 2,000 lb per container, respectively.

ROPAK(TM) Collapsible Containers Designed for Inside-the-Box Dunnage Storage

GEORGETOWN, KY (October 14, 2005) - LINPAC Materials Handling, manufacturer of high-quality ROPAK(TM) reusable container systems, offers two specially-designed containers that, when collapsed, feature internal storage space for dunnage or trays during return shipments. The ROPAK 40423 has a 40" x 48" footprint and is 42.3" tall when open. When collapsed, it offers 3" of internal storage space. The ROPAK 4A338 has a 45" x 48" footprint and is 33" tall when open. When collapsed, it offers 8" of internal storage space.

"Many companies that invest in reusable, collapsible bulk shipping container systems also utilize reusable dunnage-as opposed to disposable-to help protect the products shipped inside. This maximizes their cost savings and minimizes environmentally-detrimental waste," explains Dan Jakubiak from the LINPAC Solutions Group. "The dunnage storage containers allow users to maximize their return on investment, particularly during return trips, by securing the dunnage within the container."

Additionally, both the ROPAK 40423 and the ROPAK 4A338 feature non-sequential folding sidewalls, offering users more convenience, as well as improved material handling efficiency. Because the sidewalls do not have to be collapsed in a specific order, users no longer have to travel around the container in a pre-determined sequence, saving time and increasing productivity.

The ROPAK 40423 can be configured with 0, 1, or 2 drop doors in either opposite or adjacent sidewalls, allowing for easier access to contents. It can be stacked up to 5 high when open, with a maximum capacity of 1750 lbs. (794 kg) per container. When collapsed, the ROPAK 40423 offers a return ratio of 2.6:1. The 40423 can be specified with either a closed or an open deck base.

The ROPAK 4A338 can be configured with 0, 1, or 2 drop doors on opposite sidewalls. It can be stacked up to 4 high when open, with a maximum capacity of 2000 lbs. (907 kg) per container. When collapsed, the ROPAK 4A338 offers a return ratio of 1.6:1. The 4A338 is available with an open deck base.

Both the ROPAK dunnage storage containers are RFID-ready and, as with all LINPAC Materials Handling products, their workmanship and materials are guaranteed with a three-year warranty. The containers may also be recycled at the end of their useful lives.
