November 2, 2005 - SPIRALIFT SC adds benefits of in-channel auger screening system to existing mechanical bar screen installation. Bar screen automatically removes solids from liquid channel and deposits them by gravity into SPIRALIFT SC hopper. Solids are reduced to small size by TASKMASTER® grinder, and are then washed to remove contaminants and organics, compacted, and conveyed from system by shaftless screw unit. SPIRALIFT SC unit is freestanding and includes PLC-based control system.

Spiralift® SC Screenings Conditioner

Grinds, Washes and Dewaters

The SPIRALIFT SC Screenings Conditioner adds the benefits of an in-channel auger screening system to an existing mechanical bar screen installation. This innovative unit takes screenings from a bar screen and washes, dewaters, compacts and deposits them, ideally conditioned, for disposal.

In operation, the bar screen automatically removes solids from the liquid channel and deposits them by gravity into the SPIRALIFT SC hopper. The SC unit employs a heavy-duty TASKMASTER® grinder to reduce solids to a small size. They are then washed to remove contaminants and organics, compacted and conveyed from the system by the efficient shaftless screw unit. The organics are discharged back into the flow.

The SPIRALIFT SC unit is compact and freestanding and can be easily placed in tight plant locations. It can be installed behind a new mechanical bar screen or as a convenient retrofit to an existing installation. The unit can be fixed mounted or configured for portable operation to handle the output from multiple sources. The SPIRALIFT tank enclosure and hopper are constructed of durable stainless steel. A PLC-based control system that monitors and integrates the entire system is supplied.
