Selco's New Bulb and Capillary Thermostat Series Offer 30Amp Capacity to Meet a Variety of Commercial and Residential Applications

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Oct. 4, 2005 - Selco Products Company has introduced a new Series of Bulb and Capillary Thermostats featuring 30-Amp capacity and a variety of options designed to provide an excellent level of safety and flexibility. With high current capacity, the new SHQ, SHR, SJQ and SJW Series increase the breadth of applications that Selco can now fulfil. Suitable applications include a broad range of commercial and residential cooking appliances, pools and spas, electric heaters, deep fryers, laundry and HVAC.

The new thermostats are electro-mechanical on/off switches activated by temperature ranges from -4°F to 608°F (-20°C to 320°C) that open on temperature rise. All are available with a variety of mounting hardware including front and back brackets for optimum installation flexibility. Customers can also select from a wide range of knobs and bezels in a variety of configurations, sizes and colors. Performance characteristics include 120/480VAC, 30Amps, resistive, inductive ratings, and pilot duty ratings.

Spotlighted in the series is the Model SJW, which incorporates a "positive off" switch that forces the contacts to remain in the "open position. This exceptional safety feature ensures that the unit stays off without chance of restarting accidentally. The Model SJW also features D.P.S.T. (double pole, single throw), which provides additional versatility with its ability to operate with dual contacts.

The new series are available with a number of options including 8-32 and 10-32 screw terminals for easy drop-in placement and material choices of copper, stainless steel, or nickel plating. Other options include 0.250 quick-connects, customer markings, pilot duty load rating, and gold flash contacts for milliamp applications.

The new Bulb and Capillary Thermostats are priced at $10.00 to $30.00 each in OEM quantities, first production run to be completed by January 2006.
