Milwaukee Introduces Two New ½" Hammer-Drills Offering Durability and Performance

New hammer-drills provide optimal comfort on the job, reduced operator fatigue and longer life than competitors

Milwaukee introduces two 1/2" hammer-drills with optimized balance and ergonomics plus a comfortable two-finger trigger and soft grip handles. The hammer-drills feature a powerful 8.5 amp motor and have a durable metal gear case that withstands daily jobsite abuse. In testing these new hammer-drills lasted longer than competitive models.

The new hammer-drills also increase contractor productivity by reducing drilling time on the job. The ergonomic soft tactile grip handles reduce vibration and improve comfort. A recessed selector allows the user to operate in hammering or rotation modes. In addition, the tools offer an easily accessible forward/reversing switch. Two models of the new hammer-drills are available. The 5381 is a single speed hammer-drill with 0-1,800 RPM and 0-28,000 BPM and comes with a 10-foot fixed cord. The tool's speed and torque are optimized for concrete fastening.

The model 5387 offers dual speed/torque to adjust to the particular application; 0-1,000 RPM (0-16,000 BPM) in low and 0-2,500 RPM (0-40,000 BPM) in high and comes with a 10-foot Quik-Lok cord for quick in-field cord changes. The new hammer-drills are available as tool only and in kits with an impact resistant case and two-piece percussion drill bit set.

The new Hammer-Drills are backed by Milwaukee's 5 Year Warranty and Service Plus Program, providing one year of free maintenance when shipped to a Milwaukee Branch Office/Service Center.
