Rust Preventive stops steel coil corrosion.
September 30, 2005 -
Applied by spray during in-line coil processing, VpCI(TM)-329D provides water displacing protective film that eliminates corrosion from internal and external coil layers. Product combines Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibition with anti-corrosion agents, enabling formulation of clean film with lubrication characteristics. For coils exposed to industrial atmospheres with pickling, anodizing, and galvanizing, VpCI(TM)-329D can inhibit corrosion for up to 1 year.

In-plant Steel Coil Corrosion Held in Check by New Rust Preventive
Spray application VpCI(TM)-329D during coil processing.
Corrosion Research Chemists in CortecŪ Laboratories have developed an advanced rust preventive that stops the aggressive corrosive attack of acid atmospheres with high humidity for steel coils during coil treatment. Applied by spray during in-line coil processing, CortecŪ VpCI(TM)-329D provides an extremely light, water displacing protective film. The product is designed to eliminate corrosion from internal coil layers (humidity exposed) and external layers (acid exposed) reducing operation costs substantially.
The challenge to this common problem was solved by utilizing CortecŪ Patented VpCI(TM) Technology(Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibition) with powerful new anti-corrosion agents. It enabled the formulation of a cleaner, aesthetically pleasing protective film in conjunction with the need for an oil-based treatment that also offered lubrication characteristics.
CortecŪ VpCI(TM)-329D comes ready to use. No dosages need to be calculated and no mixing is required thus assuring proper strength and coverage. The product can be applied by in-line spray as well as dip, roll-on and brush or manual spray for touch-up as required. For coils exposed to industrial atmospheres with pickling, anodizing, and galvanizing, the product can inhibit corrosion for up to 1 year. It enables coils to remain protected and cleaner for a longer working time frame before further processing.
