Arendar 2006 Test Data Management Software Delivers Multi-Dimensional Test Performance Analysis
AUSTIN, Texas (September 13, 2005) - VI Technology, Inc. announces that Arendar® 2006, the newest version of its test data management software, offers the first drag-and-drop multi-dimensional test data analysis capability for test engineers and managers. Arendar 2006 is also full of enhancements for data organization, security, analysis and reporting.
"Arendar 2006 is the only test data management product to leverage OLAP technology to give test engineers and managers powerful drag-and-drop multi-dimensional test performance analysis capability," says Richard House, President of VI Technology. "We've taken business intelligence technologies, which have been previously used successfully in corporate operations, and applied them to test engineering. Now, test engineers and managers can immediately analyze a test data cube from different perspectives to improve their design specifications and manufacturing efficiency."
Details of the new enhancements to this version include:
o Test Performance Analysis: Arendar's Test Performance Analysis (TPA) leverages the power of online analytical processing (OLAP) and business intelligence technologies to provide powerful drag-and-drop multi-dimensional test data analysis and reporting. Arendar TPA lets engineers and managers immediately learn how tests are performing through viewing test data from an unlimited number of perspectives including by date, by test station, by product, by product line, by operator and by test revision.
o Hierarchical Test Data Classification: Arendar's new unlimited hierarchical folders and global attributes allow engineers to graphically configure and segment the database for specific test data, station information and reports. Folders are a useful way for engineers to organize test data and administer security rights to partition which groups of people have access to information contained in the folders. Arendar reports can drill down through the folder structure to access test data and reports.
o Object-Level Security: Users now have an object-level security model to control visibility, modification and access to test data, folders, and reports. Arendar security administration allows users to set viewing, modification and access privileges for individuals and groups independently. Arendar simplifies security administration by integrating with Windows security for login control.
o Enhanced Analysis and Reporting Capability: Arendar 2006 now offers N-pass yield and histogram reporting capabilities. Other usability improvements include a simplified data selection process, streamlined navigation and user specified bins for capability histograms.
Arendar 2006 Desktop and Enterprise Test Data Management software will be available in October, 2005. The price for Arendar Desktop is $3995. Arendar Enterprise Server starts at $9995. Subscribers to the Arendar Software Subscription Program (SSP) receive upgrades for free. For more information go to www.vi-tech.com/arendar.
