MOSFET Drivers provide high-resolution imaging.

September 19, 2005 - Quad MOSFET Driver ICs, Models MD1810 and MD1811, drive N- and P-channel MOSFETs in applications that require high output current for capacitive load. Both feature 6 ns rise and fall time with 1,000 pF load for use in high frequency ultrasound imaging applications. Low jitter design ensures accurate Doppler measurement and clear imaging. Housed in 16-lead QFN package, drivers are Green and RoHS compliant.

New High Performance Quad MOSFET Drivers from Supertex Provide Superior, High Resolution Imaging

MD1810 and MD1811 Allow Design Flexibility and Simplicity

SUNNYVALE, Calif., September 8, 2005- Supertex (NASDAQ: SUPX), a recognized leader in high voltage analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs), today introduced the MD1810 and the MD1811, two new high-speed quad MOSFET driver integrated circuits (ICs). The ICs are designed to drive N- and P-channel MOSFETs in applications that require a high output current for a capacitive load, such as medical ultrasound imaging, nondestructive testing equipment, and CCD-based products, such as high-resolution cameras and scanners.

Both ICs feature a six nanosecond rise and fall time with a 1000pF load for use in high frequency ultrasound imaging applications. The outputs of both ICs can also swing below ground, making it simple for designers to drive N- and P-channel FETs. Both ICs incorporate low jitter designs to ensure accurate Doppler measurement and clearer imaging.

"The widespread adoption of ultrasound and other imaging technologies has fueled the demand for high performance components and Supertex is leading the way in the design and development of such ICs," states Ahmed Masood, Director of Marketing for Supertex. "The MD1810 and MD1811 are part of a growing family of advanced drivers that deliver the critical performance and functionality required for these challenging applications."

The MD1810 and the MD1811 are available in 16-lead QFN packages (MD1810K6-G and MD1811K6-G, respectively). All parts are Green and RoHS compliant. Samples are available from stock. Lead-time for production quantities is 4- 6 weeks ARO. Pricing is US$2.85 each for the MD1810K6-G and US$2.88 for the MD1811K6-G, both in 1K quantities.
