Version 5.0 Gives Network Administrators Powerful Statistics and Graphs Options for Effective Network Analysis and Maintenance
HI-TECH ZONE CHENGDU, China. - September 5, 2005: Colasoft Co., Ltd announces today the release of version 5.0 of "Colasoft Capsa". This is a professional TCP/IP network monitor and analyzer, which enables the user to capture and decode traffic transmitted over a local host and local network. With "Colasoft Capsa" in place, you can address a wide range of network management and security challenges. The program lets you monitor all traffic circulating in the corporate network, diagnose network problems, and debug your own network application.
In creating version 5.0, the Colasoft team has put much emphasis on building the reporting facility. Customers will discover the ability to view summary statistics of all network activities, collected by multiple analyzers. The summary includes start date/time, physical errors, 802.3 errors, traffic, and packet size distribution, to name a few. The program displays the statistics of the entire network or specific network nodes graphically, by means of charts. Using the unique compare mode, the administrator can view two different charts simultaneously side-by-side.
Also new to version 5.0 is the graphical delivery of endpoint and protocols statistics. The administrator can view the detailed communications statistics of each network endpoint, with statistic data being displayed both in percentage and value. With the help of protocols statistics chart, the administrator can view the statistics of protocols and sub-protocols, used by network communications. Besides, "Colasoft Capsa" can generate statistics reports, which contain the overall network information, including summary, protocols, top-10 addresses and all charts.

This program has a set of powerful decoders and analyzers that provide the administrator with the detailed information on network activities. Its packet analysis facility captures network data stream in real time, decodes packets, and displays data in HEX, ASCII and EBCDIC. The administrator can use the program to capture email messages and restore their content, track HTTP requests and capture FTP transfers. In case of network problems, simple and advanced filters can help the administrator to focus on suspect traffic and quickly identify the source of problems. "Colasoft Capsa" features statistics and graphs to make the analysis of network activities easier. The user can easily switch from the overall statistics to the details of a specific network node.
