Toshiba Introduces New Camera Link(TM) Versions of 3CCD Machine Vision Cameras

August 29, 2005 - Irvine, CA - Toshiba Digital Solutions Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. and a leader in advanced imaging technologies, introduces two new cameras that join the popular IK-TF 3CCD color camera series. The enhanced models, the IK-TF5C and IK-TF7C are designed with Camera Link outputs and share the same advanced functions as their respective progressive scan models, the IK-TF5 (180 frames per second) and IK-TF7 (90 frames per second). They both have 1/100 to 1/100,000 second electronic shutter capability and one or two pulse random triggering for professional imaging applications.

Toshiba is the global leader in producing precision 3CCD prism block cameras with highly accurate spectral sensitivity for enhanced imagery. The introduction of the IK-TF5C and IK-TF7C allows customers to choose from five 3CCD one-piece color cameras in the IK-TF series. These cameras were developed in response to customer requests for camera link compatibility commonly used with frame grabber boards. All IK-TF cameras are ultra-compact, lightweight and equipped with C-mounts for easy integration into space-sensitive machine vision applications. They measure only 44mm x 44mm x 78mm (W x H x D) and weigh a mere 5.82 ounces.

Toshiba America is the only authorized sales channel for Toshiba brand industrial and medical video cameras. For more information, please visit www.cameras.toshiba.com.
