September 13, 2005 - Featuring technologies for tray, pad, u-board, and film-only applications, Douglas Contour(TM) SPS-30 utilizes servo-driven wrapping wand that maximizes film control for placement accuracy. Variety of infeeds includes Smartrak Steady Stream Infeed, which ensures continuous product flow. Along with simplified pin metering and servo drives, unit features speeds to 30 cycles/min and accessible film cutter that consistently feeds film.

New Douglas Contour(TM) SPS-30 Shrink Packer Cost-Effectively Maximizes Simplicity and Efficiency

Alexandria, Minnesota - August 26, 2005 The new Douglas Contour SPS-30 Shrink Packer cost-effectively maximizes simplicity and efficiency with new patent-pending technologies for tray, pad, u-board, and film only applications. The SPS-30 features a variety of infeeds, including the new Smartrak Steady Stream Infeed to ensure continuous product flow, easy-to-understand pin metering for simple operation, and servo drives for low maintenance and parts costs and repeatable changeovers. The flexible patent-pending servo driven wrapping wand maximizes film control resulting in accurate film placement. The easily accessible film cutter consistently feeds and cuts film for maximum performance. The SPS-30's simple inline design provides convenient operator and maintenance access and efficiently uses floor space. Speeds are to 30 cycles per minute.
