September 12, 2005 - Incorporating Xeon MP processors at up to 3.66 GHz, xSeries 260 Servers combine 4-way SMP-capable power, PCI-X expansion, and Enterprise X-Architecture(TM). They provide up to 64 Gb PC2-3200 ECC DDR2 SDRAM system memory, 6 active 64-bit/266 MHz PCI-X 2.0 slots, and integrated Broadcom 5704 dual-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet. Twelve 3.5 in. SAS hot-swap bays support up to 3,600 Gb internal data storage. Servers accommodate up to three 775 W hot-swap power supplies.

Express models of the xSeries® 260 server are powered with two Intel(TM) Xeon MP processors at up to 3.66 GHz and 1 MB L2 cache.

The xSeries 260 server contains advanced technology that combines four-way SMP-capable power, Peripheral Component Interconnect-X (PCI-X) expansion, Enterprise X-Architecture(TM) (EXA), high availability, scalability, and substantial internal data storage capacity.
