September 9, 2005 - Offered as models 5262-L and 5362-L, leaded receptacles eliminate need to strip wires or tighten terminals with every installation. They are equipped with 3 permanently attached 6 in., No. 12 AWG THHN wire leads that will not work loose from terminal. Available in 15 or 20 A straight blade models, with 2-pole, 3-wire grounding and phosphor bronze contacts, products have dual drive pins, die cast center bushing, and impact-resistant thermoplastic bodies and covers.

Leviton Expands Line of Labor-Saving Wire Lead Receptacles with New Industrial Grade Series

Little Neck, NY, August 26, 2005 - Leviton has expanded its line of Industrial Wiring Devices with a new series of wire lead receptacles. Ideal for electrical contractors working on time-sensitive installations, leaded receptacles help spare time and costs by eliminating the need to strip wires or tighten terminals with every installation. Since the receptacles are equipped with permanently attached wire leads at the factory, the leads can't work loose from the terminal.

The new models, 5262-L and 5362-L, offer the same rugged construction and reliability as Leviton's Industrial Grade 5262-S/5362-S series of duplex receptacles, and include three 6-inch #12 AWG THHN wire leads. They feature a heavy-gauge, locked-in, wrap-around strap, dual drive pins, and a die cast center bushing for added strength.

Receptacle bodies and covers are made from impact-resistant thermoplastic, and come in seven different colors. They are available in either 15 or 20 Amp straight blade models, with 2-pole, 3-wire grounding, and phosphor bronze contacts. All receptacles are NEMA, CSA, and UL Fed Spec WC-596 rated.

In addition, Leviton has also made improvements to Commercial Grade wire lead receptacles 5040 and 5340 by moving the grounding lead attachment to the inside surface of the mounting strap.
