Thrust Collar Assembly Permits High Load Adjustment On Shaft

A new thrust collar assembly that can be used to provide bi-directional axial adjustability and “crawl” heavy components along a shaft is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.

The Stafford Thrust Collar Assembly consists of a male-female connecting hub which can be located along a shaft, allowing one side to be fixed and the other side to be adjusted by using the knurled O.D. or a wrench flat. Providing 3/8” axial adjustability, it can be used for applications ranging from pre-loading bearings to “crawling” heavy components along a shaft.

Available in eight standard sizes from 3/8” to 1-½” I.D., the Stafford Thrust Collar Assembly is well suited for tensioning springs, adjusting platform heights, and even freeing-up stuck components. Providing a simple axial adjustment solution, just clamp one side of the assembly on a shaft, move the other side, then clamp it, and repeat the process infinitely as needed.

The Stafford Thrust Collar Assembly is priced from $15.95 (list), depending upon size. Literature and pricing are available upon request.
