A custom fabricated portable rack scale for weighing and transporting rod, tube, and bar stock that features an easy-to-read display and is legal for trade is being introduced by Alliance Scale, Inc. of Canton, Massachusetts.
The Alliance Rod Weighing Scale is designed to weigh rod, tube, and bar stock and transport it on heavy-duty, smooth rolling casters to a storage bin or to feed machinery. Featuring the new Rice Lake IQ Plus® 590-DC weight indicator that has a 1” 6-digit LCD display and is pedestal mounted for easy viewing, this portable rack scale is custom fabricated for handling loads up to 12,000 lbs. and is NTEP approved legal for trade.
Providing a full numeric keypad that allows entry of piece- and tare- weight, calibration, and sample size, the Alliance Rod Weighing Scale offers 1:10,000 counts display resolution, ±0.01% full-scale system linearity, and can count pieces. The weight indicator is powered by “6” C-cell alkaline batteries and has an EDP/printer port and a full duplex RS232 connection.
