Parker Offers New Portable Tube Flaring Device for Fabricating 37° Flares

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Parker Hannifin Corporation's Tube Fittings Division has launched a newly designed, portable flaring machine for fabricating 37° flares on tubing.

Consisting of a hydraulic flaring device and a hand-operated, hydraulic pump, the KarryFlare is designed for on-site flaring of steel and stainless steel tubing. Flare diameter is controlled manually by observing a pressure gauge and easy-to-use reference chart. The simple tooling design allows for quick and easy changeover from one tube size to another. This unit also features a lightweight steel carrying case on wheels with a telescopic handle that allows for easy maneuvering and transportation.

The KarryFlare is ideal for fabricating 37° flares for on-site repair of mobile, agricultural and construction equipment, or for use in plant maintenance workshops and R&D purposes. This unit is an upgraded design of Parker's 1015-1 flaring unit, which it will be replacing effective immediately.

KarryFlare Features:

• 37° flaring for ISO 8434-2/SAE J514 flare fittings

• Flare capabilities of 1/4" - 1 1/2" and 6 mm - 38 mm (maximum wall thickness of 1 1/2" x 1.120" and 38 mm x 4 mm)

• Supplied with 37° cone and uses same dies as previous 1015-1 flaring machine

• Manually operated, no electric power source required

• Weight approximately 62 lbs (29 kg)

• L30"xW14"xH 10"

For additional information on the KarryFlare, contact Jeff Knaus, Product Manager, Parker Hannifin Tube Fittings Division, at (614) 324-8208 orjknaus@parker.com.
