August 16, 2005 - Suited for oil field manufacturing, 100 Series hole drilling system can drill 3/16 in. dia hole to 96 in. lengths in Inconel®. Utilizing bolt circle indexer, machine is capable of maintaining wall thickness of ±.020 in. for full 96 in. of drilling. Options include coolant refrigeration system, chip removal system, programmable touch screen controls, and full machine enclosures. Unit can also be used in automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial applications.

New Deep Hole Drilling Systems Drills Holes Up to 500x Diameter
Kent, OH: TechniDrill Systems, Inc., a global builder of gun drills, ejector drills and BTA systems, has recently introduced a gun drilling system that can produce holes up to 500X diameter in length.
The first 100 Series system, which was developed for oil field equipment manufacturing, can drill a highly accurate 3/16" diameter hole to a length of 96" in Inconel®. Utilizing a bolt circle indexer, the 100 Series machine is capable of maintaining a wall thickness of ± .020" for the full 96" of drilling.
According to James Kent, president of TechniDrill, "This is not just a highly accurate deep hole drilling system, it is also capable of drilling a very small diameter hole to great depths."
Options available on the Series 100 machine include a coolant refrigeration system, chip removal system, programmable touch screen controls and full machine enclosures.
While designed for an oil field manufacturing application, the Series 100 machine is suitable for a wide range of applications, including automotive, aerospace, medical and general industrial.
