Suited for space-limited applications in hazardous locations, IP67 dust- and water-tight products come in standard lengths from 20 in. to 9.8 ft. They operate at ambient temperatures to 140°F and have min curvature radius for cable of 12 in.

Fiber Optic Illumination Source is Ex Rated and CE Compliant

Problems such as space limitations in hazardous locations are solved by the new "Lumiflexâ„¢" fiber optic luminaire. Applications are suggested where space limitations exclude the use of even modern miniature luminaires and, especially, in Ex hazardous areas.

The new illumination systems provide an intense light output from 24, 120 or 230-volt halogen filament lamps through fiber optic guides for illumination ports, combined sight/illumination ports or for video surveillance. Standard lengths for the fiber optic cables vary from 0.5 meters (20 in) to 3 meters (9.8 feet), with others available by special order.

All Lumiflex luminaires comply with EC type test certification PTB 04 ATEX 2078 and Ex 2 G EEx de IIC T4/T6. Ignition protection is per EN 50014: 1997 + A1 + A2 and EN50018; 2000 and EN 50019: 2000 and IEC 60079-28/CD. They are also dust and water-tight IP 67 to EN 60529/DIN VDE 0470 Part 1 and can operate at ambient temperatures to 60° C (140° F). Minimum curvature radius for the cable is 30 cm (12 in).

The body is of cast corrosion resistant aluminum alloy with stainless steel used for the fiber optic cable connections. Unit weight, excluding the fiber optic cable, is 4.3 kg (9.5 lbs).
