Overview
IBM expands the IBM TotalStorage® DS4000 series midrange disk storage offerings with new IBM TotalStorage DS4000 Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) Disk Express Models for xSeries®.
Selected configurations of the DS4000 midrange disk system family are part of the IBM Express Portfolio program — designed, developed, and priced to address the specific needs of mid-sized businesses. Designed to be easy to acquire, install, and manage, these systems leverage IBM technology, offering tangible solutions to help you solve business problems in an on-demand world. Several key options are included with each configuration of the following DS4000 Midrange Express® model offerings:
DS4100 Single Controller Bundle 1SJ, (five HDDs total) Express Model (17241SJ)
Three HDDs provided as part of base offering for the single controller DS4100 model
DS4100 Dual Controller Bundle 10J, (five HDDs) Express Model (172410J)
DS4000 EXP100 1XP Bundle 1XJ, (no HDDs) (17241XJ)
Key prerequisites
IBM xSeries and selected Netfinity® servers
IBM eServer p5 and pSeries® servers
Selected Sun and HP-UNIX® servers
Intel™-based servers running Microsoft™ Windows™ 2000, Windows
