Indicating Fuses reduce downtime and arc-flash hazard.

July 29, 2005 - Edison® Class RK1 and Class J time delay, current-limiting fuses facilitate identification of blown fuse via black-and-white color indicator. In addition to providing protection against short circuit faults that can destroy motors and motor starters, products reduce arc-flash hazard via current-limiting capability that assures minimum incident energy case of arc-flash.

Reduce Downtime, Inventory Cost and Arc-Flash Hazard With Edison® Indicating Fuses

ST. LOUIS –Edison® Class RK1 and Class J current limiting fuses help reduce downtime by enabling the electrical troubleshooter to quickly identify a possible opened fuse and get the system up and running as quickly as possible. Edison indicating fuses offer a clear black-and-white indication of a blown fuse. There’s no second-guessing. There’s no “in-between” coloring to create confusion and waste time. The indicator is either black or white.

Edison Class RK1 and Class J time-delay, current-limiting fuses further reduce downtime by providing superior protection against short circuit faults that can destroy motors and motor starters. Problems that often lead to long downtime and costly equipment replacement.

Class RK1 and Class J fuses can replace multiple SKUs and reduce inventory; thereby saving investment and maintenance expense on that inventory.

Arc-flash hazard can also be reduced because the current-limiting capability feature of all Edison Class RK1 and Class J fuses assures minimum incident energy in the event of an arc-flash.
