LINPAC Introduces Longest ROPAK™ Extended Length Container to Date: 78 x 48 Inches
GEORGETOWN, KY (May 9, 2005) – The newest member of the ROPAK(TM) Extended Length family of reusable, collapsible containers from LINPAC Materials Handling is now available in the company’s longest length ever: 78". Specially designed to handle extremely long, hard-to-fit parts, the new 78" Extended Length features a footprint of 78" x 48", and is available in three heights (25", 33", and 34").
The 78" Extended Length features a maximum capacity of 2000 lbs. (907 kg). The containers can be stacked up to 4-high without racking, either upright or collapsed, and all container heights feature non-sequential folding sidewalls, allowing the container to collapse to a fraction of its height for more compact storage and shipping when empty.
The sidewalls are secured by universal latches that can be operated from both outside and inside the container for greater ease of use. The latches allow the operator to reach through the inside of the container to collapse the sidewalls in any order, eliminating travel around the container in a pre-determined sequence. This saves time and increases productivity.
The 78" Extended Length containers also feature four-way forklift entry and a versatile array of sidewall configurations. For easier access to contents, drop doors are available on two sides of the 25" and 33" height models, and on up to all four sides of the 34" height container. Additionally, the 78" Extended Length container offers two flat, recessed label areas on both 48" sidewalls for easier identification.
The entire ROPAK line of Extended Length containers was originally developed to hold the longer parts most commonly found in the automotive industry—including brake lines, carpet, drive shafts, fuel lines, side airbag curtains, and sound deadeners. These containers, including the 78" Extended Length, are now used in a wide array of industries, such as plastics, textile and metalworking.
The 78" Extended Length container is RFID-ready and, as with all LINPAC Materials Handling products, its workmanship and materials are guaranteed with a three-year warranty.
