Inlet Diffusers correct gas flow imbalances.

July 26, 2005 - Uniflo Inlet Diffusers evenly distribute gas flow over downstream separator and remove bulk liquids and solids from gas stream. By maximizing liquid distribution, channeling problems and re-entrainment of liquid droplets in mist eliminator are avoided. Use of diffusers also prevents gas from jetting into liquid level creating further entrainment problems. Available in range of alloys, diffusers can be designed for vertical or horizontal separators.

Inlet Diffuser Improves Tower Performance

Houston TX. - For new or existing separator and distillation tower operations, Amistco Separation Products Inc. Uniflo Inlet Diffusers correct flow imbalances and improve gas distribution.

The manufacturer states the Uniflow is designed to evenly distribute the gas flow over the downstream separator and remove bulk liquids and solids from the gas stream. The Uniflow's geometry dissipates high inlet gas velocities and evenly distributes the gas in the vessel maximizing the downstream mist eliminator performance. The manufacturer explains that by maximizing the liquid distribution, channeling problems and reentrainment of the liquid droplets in the mist eliminator are avoided. The use of the inlet diffuser also prevents gas from jetting into the liquid level creating further entrainment problems. Amistco goes claims that processes with flashing feeds or reboiler returns will experience significant separation improvements with negligible pressure drop.

Amistco Uniflow Inlet Diffusers can be designed for vertical or horizontal separators and are available in a wide range of alloys. These diffusers can be manufactured in sections to pass through the manway to simplify installation.

AMISTCO Separations Products Inc. manufactures a full line tower internals, mist eliminators and other components critical to effective mass transfer and separation. For more details or to review their complete product line call or visit www.amistco.com
