Deltabar S Pressure Transmitter Provides the Fastest Response Times on the Market

New Smart Pressure Transmitter Announced

July 19, 2005, Greenwood, Indiana –Endress+Hauser’s new Deltabar S is a family of differential pressure sensors for flow, level, and differential measurement that provides the fastest dynamic response time on the market in digital transmitters. Deltabar S is used for solving measuring tasks such as volume or mass flow measurements in conjunction with primary elements in gases, vapors, and liquids, level, volume or mass measurement in liquids, and differential pressure monitoring across filters and pumps. The software that comes standard with the Deltabar S includes two independent totalizers, automatic conversion of measuring units, and bi-directional flow capability.

One unique feature of the Deltabar S is the HistoROM® memory module. The module records process measured values, configuration settings, as well as a general record of transmitter events. The HistoROM® memory module allows for quick duplication of measuring points as well as analysis and graphical evaluation of data by ToF tool software included with each transmitter free of charge.

Another feature of the Deltabar S is the quick, menu-guided setup. Commissioning time, effort, and costs are greatly reduced since complete commissioning is possible without any additional tools or software. The three on-board push buttons allow for easy operation without opening any compartments. The menu-guided interface allows for a quick setup in three standard application modes of pressure, level, and flow. Plain text error messages make trouble-shooting easy.

The product offers top of the line technical specifications such as long-term stability of 0.05% of URL/year and a high accuracy of ±0.075% span. The new Deltabar S can be used in applications with temperatures up to 662°F (350°C) with remote diaphragm seals (FMD 78).

The modular design allows for easy repair with replaceable display, sensor modules, and universal electronics for pressure and differential pressure.

For more information on the Deltabar S, visit the Endress+Hauser, Inc. website, www.us.endress.com, or contact us toll-free at 888-ENDRESS.
