July 22, 2005 - Wide-format (A3) Infoprint® Color 1567 is capable of printing 2400 image quality text and graphics at speeds up to 32 ppm (color) and 36 ppm (monochrome). Color quality can be maximized by using color brightness, contrast, and saturation adjustments, while quality adjustments are made via toner saver, color saver, and coverage estimator. Frequently accessed documents can be stored on Web site and printed on-demand at printer. USB direct port enables secure PDF printing.

Overview
IBM is refreshing its wide format color workgroup printer with the introduction of the Infoprint® Color 1567. The Infoprint Color 1567 (machine type 4935) is a replacement for the Infoprint Color 1357. The 1567 is a wide format (A3) color printer capable of printing at speeds up to 32 ppm color (letter/A4) or 36 ppm monochrome (letter/A4).
The Infoprint Color 1567 is a high performance departmental color printer that is designed for productivity to meet the needs of medium and large workgroups. The printer's excellent 2400 Image Quality prints crisp text and high quality graphics. The Infoprint Color 1567 effectively prints applications within the general office including departmental printing, engineering drawings, scientific drawings, marketing materials, presentations, and on demand brochures.
Customers can take total control of their color output using powerful device features that limit access to color printing by user or by specifying times that the device can be accessed. Color quality can be maximized by using color brightness, contrast, and saturation adjustments. Color output costs can be managed by using toner saver, color saver, and the coverage estimator.
Increase productivity by using the intuitive all points addressable operator panel that provides easy to use navigational menus and "show me" graphics and text that communicate printer status and simplify problem resolution. By using the powerful user interface and the standard ImageQuick solution, frequently accessed monochrome and color documents (PDF, TIFF, and JPEG) can be stored on a Web site and printed on demand at the printer. Secure walk-up printing of PDF documents can be easily accommodated by using the USB direct port and a USB flash memory device.
Standard and optional features on the Infoprint Color 1567 enhance device and document security. PIN-based printing increases confidentiality for individuals printing sensitive output. Data that is stored on the optional hard disk is encrypted. Security of transmission is addressed through secure transmission protocols.
A wide variety of media sources can be configured to meet specific customer needs including additional 550 sheet input drawers and a 3000 sheet high capacity feeder option. The optional 1100 sheet finisher provides flexible finishing including stapling, offset stacking, and hole punching.
Flexible connectivity options ensure that the Infoprint Color 1567 can be configured to adapt to a customer's existing or future infrastructure. The embedded Web server and MarkVision Professional device management utility enable flexible installation and proactive device management from a desktop, server, or Web browser.
