Up to 1 GB DDR DIMM memory can be installed, and onboard Solid State Disk provides additional memory using CompactFlash™ type II socket. LAN support is provided with 10/100 based-T Ethernet port.

AXIOMTEK First to Market with RAID Enabled 17-Inch Display Panel PC

Industrial-Grade Panel 1170-800 Offers High Performance, High Resolution, and RAID 0 and RAID 1 Support with Easy-to-Use Human Machine Interface

Taipei Taiwan, July 13, 2005 – AXIOMTEK, a world renowned provider of industrial and embedded systems and components, today announced the company is first to market with a 17-inch, high resolution, rugged-design panel PC supporting RAID Function. The AXIOMTEK PANEL1170-800 panel PC uses an Intel® 852GM chipset to support SATA hard disk drives and RAID 0 and RAID 1 capabilities. It also features an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor, SXGA LCD touch screen display and a full-functioning Human Machine Interface (HMI) to make the PANEL1170-800 panel PC a high-performance and easy-to-use system ideal for a variety of industrial applications.

The PANEL1170-800 supports two easy-to-swap SATA hard disk drives (3.5-inch or 2.5-inch HDDs), two expansion PCI slots and an optional CD-ROM drive. Via the Panel PC’s rugged design, the PC can easily fit into any industrial environment using panel, rack or desktop mounting options.

Built to withstand the rigors of the industrial setting, AXIOMTEK’s new Panel PC chassis is fabricated out of an IP-65 aluminum front panel. Front panel brightness and display position adjustment capabilities ensure users always get the best display condition for any work environment. The Panel PC also comes with an array of I/O connectors for maximum flexibility and device usability. An integrated Intel® 852GME provides superior onboard graphics. LAN support is provided with a 10/100 based-T Ethernet port. Furthermore, up to 1GB DDR DIMM memory can be installed and the Panel PC has an onboard Solid State Disk (SSD) to provide added versatile memory using a CompactFlash™ type II socket.

As a value added service, AXIOMTEK will pre-install supported operating systems. OS support includes Windows® 98, Windows® NT/2000/XP, Linux Kernel 2.4, and embedded operating systems Windows® CE Net and Windows® XP Embedded.
