Point Source Emitter produces collimated radiation.

July 15, 2005 - Featuring beam angle of less than ±1° at half power points, 850 nm Model CLE333 has typical rise and fall time of 4.0 ns. Lens provides sharply focused beam pattern capable of projecting 3 in. diameter spot on surface 10 ft away. Typical irradiance is 0.45 mW/cm² at IF=50 mA and typical VF is 1.6 V at IF=50 mA. Emitter chip is mounted in TO-46 hermetic package with cathode common to case.

Collimated Radiation Point Source Emitter

Clairex announces its new CLE333, an 850nm point source emitter which features a beam angle of less than ± 1° at the half power points. A specially designed lens provides a sharply focused beam pattern capable of projecting a spot three inches in diameter on a surface ten feet away.

The point source emitter chip is mounted in a TO-46 hermetic package with the cathode common to the case. Though primarily designed for the encoder industry, the CLE333 has wide application anywhere a very narrow beam pattern is required.
Featuring fast response time and high power output, the CLE333 has typical rise and fall time of 4.0ns. Typical irradiance is 0.45mW/cm² at IF = 50mA and typical VF is 1.6 volts at IF = 50mA.

The CLE333 is priced at $3.32/1000. Delivery is 2 weeks ARO. Samples are available now.
