LED Ring Light suits quality control and inspection.
July 7, 2005 - Multi-directional HIGHLIGHTER uses mouse to control direction of lights, as well as intensity and number of LEDs illuminated. Unit works on all makes of microscopes, allowing inspection and quality control workers to view surface defects. Left mouse click activates automatic continuous rotation of 1–39 LEDs so operator can compare and contrast image under different lighting. Right click alters light intensity to meet optical instrument and individual requirements.

New Multi-Directional LED Ring Light Ideal for Quality Control and Inspection
(St. Louis, Missouri, June 29, 2005) The just introduced HIGHLIGHTER multi-directional LED ring light uses a simple mouse to control the direction of the lights, as well as the intensity and number of LEDs illuminated. This unique new ring light works on all makes of microscopes, as well as the Dazor speckFINDER ® Video Microscope, and is offered exclusively by Dazor Manufacturing Corporation, St. Louis, MO.
Inspection and quality control workers can use the HIGHLIGHTER to view surface defects and overcome the visibility problems associated with glare and shadowing. Hard-to-see imperfections in plastic and metal surfaces, defects in solder joints and details on translucent surfaces all become apparent when highlighted with this new LED ring light.
Users can direct up to 40 LEDS either clockwise or counter clockwise simply by rotating the mouse control. A left mouse click activates automatic continuous rotation of 1 to 39 LEDS so the operator can compare and contrast the image under different lighting, without having to move the object being viewed. A right click of the mouse alters light intensity to meet optical instrument and individual requirements. The dimmable ring light offers five settings from 100% to 2%.
Users appreciate the easy functionality of the ergonomic mouse, which occupies minimal workspace and eliminates the “big box” controls required for most LED ring lights.
